Kaitlin Battiste

Kaitlin is an intuitive movement-maker who believes connecting with our minds and bodies is a necessary practice that can help people live up to their full potential. Kaitlin’s calling to yoga stems from her background in dance. She has been teaching dance for ten years, and yoga has not only served as the perfect supplement to her dance teaching career by helping her build strength, mobility and flexibility, it has also been a healthy outlet for her to achieve mental, spiritual and physical healing.

In 2020, Kaitlin had an epiphany that she wanted to pass along the tools she learned from her personal yoga practice to help others. She completed her 200-hour training in November 2020, earning her title as a Certified Vinyasa Yoga Teacher. She started a yoga program at her dance studio in Newtown Square, PA so she could help her dance community commit to a self-care practice. She is a current graduate student at West Chester University working toward becoming a Clinical Mental Health Counselor.

Kaitlin strongly believes in the potential for healing that yoga provides, as well as the notion that yoga is for everybody. Her approach is client-centered and prioritizes non-judgment, accessibility and inclusivity in the classes she offers. Through teaching Vinyasa-style classes tailored to all levels, her hope is to pass on the tools and foundational yogic principles to help students heal from the outside-in, build their skillset and boost self-confidence so they can live a happier, healthier and a more well-rounded lifestyle. Kaitlin finds fulfillment in playing a part in the self-care journey of others, and continues to learn ways to integrate her yoga teaching experience with her approach as a future Clinical Mental Health Counselor.

  • YOUR TEACHING STYLE: Compassionate, introspective, empowering

  • MUSIC/SONGS ON ROTATION IN YOUR CLASS: For gentler classes and meditation, I really love the

shakuhachi flute, as it can be so calming. When I’m not playing relaxing flute music, I play a

blend between mellow and upbeat sounds. (FKJ, Khruangbin and Odesza are some of my favs.)
