Aiyah & By Ren

Nestled in the heart of Fairmount, Philadelphia, Aiyah is a celebration of stories, design, and community with objects meticulously and thoughtfully curated to resonate with your own story. The idea that thoughtful and intentional objects can not only help us connect with the authentic parts of ourselves, but also help us move through our spaces and life more broadly with comfort and ease is what moved us to create Aiyah.

Our founder, Rachael Compton, embarked on her journey as a jeweler, crafting a handmade line known as by ren. Through her practice as an artisan, she discovered the profound ability of objects to reshape our internal and external spaces. This realization inspired her vision: a place where curated jewelry, homewares, and accessories intertwine, weaving a rich tapestry of stories, each piece resonating with its own artistry and significance. Woman owned and operated, Aiyah serves to be a safe space for the community we have built and love in the city that shaped us, Philadelphia.

Florescio Events

Jace Florescio first started event planning back in 2015 when preparing for her baby shower for her first born. She fell in love with event planning for friends and family, and decided to turn her passion into more than just a hobby. With the help and support of her family, Florescio Events was created three years later! They are a family-owned, Philadelphia based business. If you’ve seen an amazing balloon installation in the last two years (like the one outside of Lumos at our one year anniversary!), there’s a good chance it was done by Jace and her family.

Neighborhood Potters

Neighborhood Potters is Fairmount’s local pottery studio. Run by Sandy and Neil, they produce functional pottery that enriches daily life - Sandy’s pieces are often produced through hand-building, while Neil often works on a potter’s wheel. Throughout the year, they offer pottery classes which we can personally attest are a great way to relieve stress in a creative outlet.
