Intro to Arm Balances & Inversions

Are you curious about arm balances and inversions? Are you looking for a place to learn more about them, but aren't sure where to start? Join Sam Leonetti at Lumos for a workshop dedicated to learning more about the mechanics of these poses, answering questions about them, and trying them out for yourself in a safe and judgement free zone. This workshop aims to break down various inversions and arm balances (including forearmstand, headstand, and handstand) into their most basic shapes - from feet to fingers - so you can get a better understanding of them.

We will start with a guided conversation about anatomy, breaking down the biomechanics of each pose, followed by a short flow focused on mobility and strength to warm up the shoulders, engage the core, and bring mindfulness to the fingers and feet. We will then move through the composite parts of each pose before stringing them together to conceptualize the final shape. Come learn and play in this Intro to Arm Balances + Inversions workshop!
