Align Your Body, Mind, And Soul! Transitions & Inversions Workshop With Eunmi
This workshop will teach you the tools necessary to ensure that you practice your inversions safely and mindfully, so that you are not relying on momentum or force to lift off, but rather your own strength which is cultivated purposefully.
We will warm up with a short but energizing vinyasa flow designed to lay the foundation for balancing on the hands, head, and forearms, firing up your core, stretching and strengthening muscles for going upside-down. We will learn the foundation and anatomy for safety and better understanding. Explore a variety of inversions and how to transition in and out of each pose with fresh perspectives in safe ways by using props (blocks, straps, socks, bolster, barre mat, and a wall).
In this workshop, you will learn and experience:
The fundamentals of balancing on your hands, head, and forearms.
How to warm up & set up for success.
How to use props and the wall to support your arm balances, inversions, transitions, and advanced asanas.
Strength building drills to enhance your whole physical practice.
A deeper understanding into, and the commonalities shared of all inversions.
Increase confidence to try more challenging poses on your own.
Overcome your fears about falling and going upside down.
How to accept where you are at physically and mentally.
These workshops will:
Teach all of the key alignment points, action cues, and dual action cues to confidently set up this pose with awareness.
Break down the anatomy of each pose. Build the strength, flexibility, openness and stability in your body parts required to balance on your hands with greater mindfulness and ease.
Teach you ways to modify or advance the postures to suit your body; and safely and effectively get you into poses you never thought you could.
Demonstrate common misalignments and how to correct them as well as tips and tricks.
Offer different approaches for all levels by using props and walls.
Introduce fun and playful yet challenging variations and transitions weaving the poses so you can deepen this posture and express your practice.
Teach how to use breath and bandhas.
Give the workshop manual for further and deeper understanding - this will be done digitally.
Our Workshop Cancellation Policy is as follows:
In order to cancel and receive either a credit to your MindBody account or a credit card refund, you will need to cancel more than 72 hour prior to the event. Any cancellations within 72 hours of the event will be considered a late cancel and will result in forfeiture of workshop fee paid. In the event that a workshop is full and waitlisted, if we fill your spot with another paying student, we will credit your Mindbody account for the amount you paid.
Our Teacher Training & Workshop Series Cancellation Policy is as follows:
Teacher Trainings and Workshop Series (spanning multiple days) are non-refundable and non-transferable. If a payment plan pricing option is enabled and selected by a registrant, the studio will contact the registrant to determine dates of payment for the plan, with the final balance of the training/series paid 48 hours prior to the start of the training/series. In the unlikely event that the training or series is cancelled or postponed, we will refund 100% of your payment or offer an alternative placement in the postponed dates. Any cancellation of the training or series will be considered a late cancel and will result in forfeiture of the fee paid, no exceptions will be made.
